VAT/TRN Registration in the UAE

One must fill out the online VAT Registration form and submit the necessary supporting documentation in order to obtain a TRN number before beginning the VAT registration process. The FTA will check the information and supporting documentation after the application is filed, and if everything is deemed to be acceptable, the application will be approved and a Tax Registration Number (TRN) will be assigned. Any business that misses the deadline for obtaining a VAT Registration Number or fails to finish the process by the Federal Tax Authority’s deadline will be subject to a fine of AED 10,000.00.
